So I bought this new tool, the McNaughton Coring Tool. It's designed to allow you to make several bowls from a single piece of wood. I have seen it demonstrated and it seemed simple enough! Then I watched the video, and it seemed even more straightforward.

Here's what happened the first time I used it. The wood is Oak cut 2-3 weeks ago.

The Kit
This is the kit. (English for tool.)
The Blank
This is the Oak blank.
First Bowl
The first bowl of the set.
The second cut
Here I am cutting the second bowl.
Second bowl
This is the second bowl made. Note the nice hole in the bottom - this will become a bonsai pot. (It should be the third, but the 'second' was entirely cut away making the first!)
Clean up time
Not all the shavings are from this turning exercise.
